Spanish Phrase Translation, Lesson 1

In Spanish just like any other language a phrase has a translated meaning and a literal translation that can be idiomatic. To become proficient in Spanish phrase translations one needs to be aware that answers are mostly not literal translations and can indicate something about the culture of that country.

Now for a few common Spanish phrase translations.

Hola = Hello

Como se llama usted = What's your name?
Literal translation = What do you call yourself.

Me llamo = My name is
